The New Smyrna Beach Residents' Coalition, Inc. presents 2026 NSB Candidates' Forum. Featuring all candidates for NSB Mayor and Zone 1 & 2 Commissioners. July 21, 2026 - 4:30 pm at the First NSB A Family Church 200 Faulkner Street. All NSB Residents vote for Mayor and Zone 1 and 2 commissioners regardless of where you live in the city.

The Magnolia A Preservation Journey Film

We invite you to enjoy a short film that we helped fund and produce on the renovation of the Historic Women’s Club now called the Magnolia located on Magnolia Street in New Smyrna Beach. We think it a beautiful example of the commitment of so many who work together to preserve the history of our community.

NSB Residents’ Coalition is a non-profit, nonpartisan community-focused volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the qualities that make our city unique by providing the information necessary for our city’s citizens to take a meaningful role in shaping the future of New Smyrna Beach.

Who We Are

The New Smyrna Beach Residents’ Coalition is an independent, nonpartisan volunteer organization of residents dedicated to educating and informing residents on issues pertaining to growth and development.  We are united in working to keep what is unique about our city and encourage positive governmental actions to offset the challenges posed by Florida’s expansive growth.

The Coalition was created by a group of residents in 2015 concerned about development projects that, in their view, were inconsistent with the small-town character of New Smyrna Beach. During that year, a petition drive confirmed that these concerns were shared by a large percentage of residents. In May 2016 and in response to the petition, the City Commission enacted an ordinance that reduced density limits by one-third in both the beachside and the city’s historic districts.
